I wholeheartedly believe that packing is an art. For me, part of the excitement of a trip is planning the perfect travel wardrobe. Even though I spend quite a good amount of time on that quest for the holy grail of the perfect carry-on suitcase, I'm still working out the kinks.
We're headed to Costa Rica next week for 15 days. We'll be visiting San Jose, several beach towns, La Fortuna and Arenal Volcano, and the Monteverde Cloud Forest. We tend to do a lot of wandering, good meals, interesting sights and beach walks. I'm not a huge outdoor-sports-when-traveling person, so even though Costa Rica is an amazing destination for that, so my suitcase reflects that. It will be equator hot, but the cloud forest and Arenal Volcano can supposedly be cooler in the mornings and evenings.
Of course, I'll also be packing several Kilometer 66 scarves. My favorite for this suitcase is Lampang. I love the beige and teals, and it has a cheeky vintage vibe that works with a ton of outfits, and it's breezy enough to work even in tropical climates.
What's your favorite way to plan your trip outfits? Do you make a list, or use a vision board? Lay everything out on the bed to decide, or figure it out as you pack?
