DREAM IN COLOR: CAMPECHE, MEXICO

Mindy FikeComment

Ever wish you could repaint your house every season? I've been itching to add some "light and bright" color to our space. I'll be putting together my little attic studio and office space this month, and I think I'll be looking for a bright, dare I say summery, palette to pull it together.

While I've been building "summer" Pinterest boards and finding pictures of happy summer vacation spots (August has me in that mood, apparently), I thought I'd have some fun and find some photos for color inspiration.

This photo is from Campeche, the prettiest little seaside town in Mexico. It's famous for it's cobblestone streets and pastel buildings. I have very fond memories of watching sunsets from the sea wall and eating coconut paletas in the square.

I love the idea of soft golds and peaches, with pops of coral, mint and strong ocean blue. It's a little dessert, a little sea shore, and lot of sun. What do you think?
