This scarf was the result of a sweet-light outing on the shores of Ban Kruit, Thailand. It captures the mesmerizing reflections of fishing boats rippling in the water.

It has since transformed into one of our most widely-enjoyed and wearable pieces, as it seems to go with just about everything. You'll find yourself reaching for this one over and over again.

Our scarves measure 48" x 48" and are made from a carefully chosen blend of 30% silk and 70% modal, making them ethereally wispy and softer than these pictures can portray.

Memorable sites around the world feature cities and towns, mountains and forests, piers and harbors, ships and boats, houses and bridges … at the water’s edge. Our eyes seek out familiar patterns; our pictures tend to focus on The Thing Itself. Certainly, those pictures are worth taking.

Sure, look where everyone else is looking. Then, step back. Look around. Take in the bigger picture, then zoom in on those other details. Over, under, around … on the periphery of what others may be seeing.

Check out the shifting, kaleidoscopic reflections on the water’s surface, of the more concrete world on shore. It’s a whole new world of color, texture, and motion. Those fleeting, breathless abstractions are a smorgasbord of pure delight for those with an eye to see them.

And follow the Light. Watch how it outlines, illuminates, and enlivens mundane settings into fantastical scenes. Anticipate where it is going - what part of your world will next be transformed by its magical touch. Then do what you can to Be There at the right time.

These Thai fishing boats anchored in a river delta near Ban Kruit were a feast for the senses. And their reflections, dancing in the dawn’s sweet light? Pure food for the soul.
