OUR ROUTE
Essouira
3 NIGHTS OF COASTAL MAGIC
Our journey begins in Essaouira, a serene coastal town that provides the perfect way to ease into the rhythms of Morocco.
With its sea-kissed air, relaxed pace, and vibrant artistic scene, Essaouira allows you to settle in, unwind, and soak up the beauty of your surroundings before we explore the energy of Marrakesh.
Explore the UNESCO-protected Medina — a dreamy maze of blue and white buildings where Jimi Hendrix once found inspiration. Wander the historic ramparts where Game of Thrones was filmed, watch blue fishing boats return with the day's catch, and browse artisan shops with without pressure led by our private local guide.
During our three-night stay you’ll have curated private tours, incredible food experiences, soak in a hammam spa, and have plenty of time for wandering and rest. We’ve also found some very special artisan workshops so that you can get your hands on Moroccan artistry of your own— your choice between jewelry making, woodworking, embroidery, or weaving.
Essaouira is the perfect place to decompress, adjust, and embrace the magic of Morocco at a slower pace—before we head to the vibrant heart of Marrakesh.
OUR ROUTE
marrakesh
4 NIGHTS OF SENSORY OVERLOAD
We continue our journey to the legendary Red City of Marrakesh. Our exquisite private riad, tucked away in the heart of the medina, will be your peaceful respite amid the beautiful chaos that makes Marrakesh so addictive.
From a city tour unveiling secret gardens and historical sites to a day spent in a Berber village, cooking traditional dishes while watching the sunset over the Atlas Mountains—we’ve designed every experience to inspire.
You’ll have time to explore and lose yourself in the labyrinthine souks, where treasures await around every corner. From handcrafted lanterns casting kaleidoscope shadows to butter-soft leather goods and vibrant textiles that will have you wishing you'd brought an extra suitcase.
When the sensory symphony becomes overwhelming (and it will!), come back to our riad's tranquil courtyard or rooftop oasis where the distant calls to prayer blend with birdsong and the scent of jasmine. You’ll also have ample time to unwind with a hammam experience, enjoy a massage, or simply relax with a book in a private corner. This trip will be the perfect balance of adventure and rest.
OUR LODGING
BOUTIQUE HOTEL — ESSAOUIRA
After a long flight across the pond you’ll be ready for a great place to rest and explore. We picked this hotel for it’s rooftop pool and spa, cozy corners and boutique vibe. Start your day with an amazing breakfast served wherever your mood desires — in the courtyard, intimate dining room, or on the spectacular roof terrace before heading out to explore this magical city.
PRIVATE RIAD — MARRAKESH
Step through an unassuming doorway in the historic Mouassine district and see for yourself why we chose this riad for our time together in Marrakesh. We fell in love with the textures and colors, intimate nooks, heated pool, and plant-filled rooftop oasis.
Not to mention — we have the whole place to ourselves, so there will be lots of merriment to be had!

YOUR HOSTS
Charlene + Janelle
We love nothing more than introducing friends new and old to corners of the world we especially love. This trip is kept intentionally small so that we can have a relaxed pace and more thoughtful interactions with each person joining us. We value creating space to foster connections between fellow Venturers. We can’t wait to host you!
DETAILS
-
This trip is perfect for friends wanting to travel together, mothers and daughters (or sisters, cousins, found family…) wanting to share an experience, and solo travelers who don’t want to go it alone!
In addition to attracting a diverse range of ages and backgrounds, we also want to create a safe space for varying levels of energy and social engagement. Extroverts will find wonderful chances to chat the night away with newfound friends, while our more introverted compatriots will find ample space for solo wandering and quiet corners for reading with zero judgment or pressure. We believe that group travel doesn’t need to be prescriptive and regimented, and we build in lots of time and space to choose your own adventure.
More than anything, these trips are for all those who are culturally curious, interested in socially responsible tourism, and want to explore new pockets of the world in the company of like-minded Venturers. They are purposefully small groups so that we may travel more nimbly. While we carefully research and prepare a trip full of special experiences and smooth transitions as best we can, part of traveling this way is being flexible and adaptable as serendipitous moments and unexpected travel surprises (good and bad) pop up. Flexibility, openness, and a good attitude is a must with this kind of small-scale travel, and we appreciate your grace and understanding as plans evolve.

Physical Considerations — Our Morocco trips welcome travelers of all ages and physical abilities, with plenty of flexibility in the schedule to be as active or relaxed as you prefer. We'll accommodate physical limitations and preferences to the best of our ability. It's worth noting that this trip includes moderate walking and standing on uneven surfaces including medina alleyways, ancient ruins, and stairs without handrails. Some destinations may involve navigating narrow passages in markets or climbing to viewpoints. We're happy to discuss the activity level before booking if you have any questions.
Dietary Considerations — We work diligently to accommodate dietary restrictions and requirements. Many special experiences on this journey include tastings of regional foods, and several meals are served family-style in traditional Moroccan fashion with shared platters rather than individual dishes.
Moroccan cuisine centers around tagines (slow-cooked stews), couscous, vegetables, fruits, olive oil, spices, and meats. The food is flavorful and diverse, with influences from Berber, Arab, Mediterranean, and African traditions.
Many dietary restrictions can be accommodated reasonably well in Morocco:
Vegetarians will find plenty of options with vegetable tagines, salads, and bean dishes.
Gluten-free travelers can enjoy most tagines, grilled meats, rice dishes, and many vegetable preparations.
Those avoiding dairy will find many dairy-free options as butter and cream are not central to most dishes.
However, vegan travelers may find options somewhat limited in traditional settings, as meat and/or eggs are commonly incorporated into many dishes. While metropolitan areas offer more vegan-friendly restaurants, remote locations may have fewer choices. That said, we always strive to ensure plenty of suitable options for all dietary needs.
Our pre-trip questionnaire provides ample space to inform us of any dietary requirements before departure so we can make appropriate arrangements. For those with severe allergies or strict dietary needs, we'll provide translation cards in Arabic and French to help communicate your requirements.
If you have specific questions about whether this trip is suitable for your needs, please contact us before booking. We're committed to making your Moroccan experience as enjoyable and accessible as possible!

The accommodations we've carefully selected reflect the authentic local style and character of the region, offering a genuine cultural immersion that differs from standardized Western hotels.
Each room has its own unique personality and charm. Rest assured, every room comes with queen or king-size beds and private en-suite bathrooms—no need to worry about sharing facilities or making hallway trips in your bathrobe!
For your comfort, we've arranged private rooms as our standard offering. If you’re coming with a friend and want to share a room, the cost would be reduced to $2,880 USD per person. Please note: arranging a compatible roommate will be your responsibility.
We also have a few rooms that can accommodate up to three people. If you’d like to get a group together contact us and we’ll let you know the adjusted cost per person.
-
There's nothing quite like that reassuring moment of seeing your name on a welcome sign after a long journey! Upon clearing customs at Marrakech airport, look for your personal driver holding a sign with your name. We'll provide detailed instructions to help you connect smoothly.
When you arrive in Essaouira you’ll be escorted to our hotel where we’ll be waiting you with a cup of traditional Moroccan mint tea and snacks.
On departure day, we’ve arranged for airport transfer to the Marrakesh airport. If you’re continuing your journey on your own, please let us know.
-
When you register you’ll be given the choice to pay in one payment or create automatic monthly payments to help spread out the cost.
If you’re able to register before May 3rd you’ll receive our very best pricing - $3680 for a private room or $2690 for double occupancy (with your own roommate).
We have a small number of three-person rooms available, so if you’d like to come as a larger group we can work out adjusted pricing for you.

We understand that unexpected situations can arise that require changes to your travel plans. To prepare for this possibility, we strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that includes trip cancellation coverage. Due to the non-refundable commitments we make to our Moroccan partners on your behalf, we are unable to offer refunds for cancellations, which is why appropriate insurance coverage is so important for your peace of mind.
-
US, UK & EU citizens can visit Morocco for tourism without a visa for up to 90 days. You'll need:
A passport valid for at least 3 months beyond your planned entry date
Make sure your passport gets stamped upon entry as some travelers have experienced difficulties leaving Morocco when their passport had no entry stamp. Also, all travelers should be prepared to show:
Return ticket or proof of onward travel
Proof of accommodation (which will be provided by us)

Travel insurance is a vital part of any trip, offering peace of mind in case of delay or cancelation, as well as many other unforeseen occurrences that can happen during a trip. We strongly suggest all Venturers purchase adequate travel insurance prior to departure. We are happy to suggest some of our favorite companies to work with, and will give more details in our pre-trip info packet for all travelers.
