6 Podcasts That Will Put You To Sleep, In A Good Way

This should probably be the place where I talk about my healthy sleep routines and how I’ve mastered the practice of beneficial bedtime rituals. The truth is that I’m pretty bad at it.

If you’re like me, winding down for the day is a pretty haphazard process. This year I want to focus on some better habits for mornings and evenings, and in the process, I’ve discovered the surprisingly wide world of sleep podcasts. I’ve just begun to dip my toes into this mellow universe, but here are some favorites thus far.

Nothing Much Happens

by Curious Cast

Starting off, here’s a classic combo of sleep stories and meditation that will lull you into slumber. They loop each story twice but get slower as they go.

Deep Sleeps Sounds

by Slumber Group

I recognize that this is the definition of a first-world problem, but lately, I’ve been playing sleep music on Spotify and it’s been messing up my algorithm for the rest of my listening. Tune in to this pod instead and pick your poison - ambient music, nature sounds, white noise… choose what works for you.

Sleepy

by Otis Gray

This has become a favorite. Doze off to Otis Gray’s melodious voice reading classic novels. even if you can’t sleep, it’s still worth the time.

By Night Vale Presents

Mind racing? Need to wind down? These stories start out engaging and get increasingly more boring as they go, easing you into a lull.

Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls

by Rebel Girls

Okay, this might not be relaxing in the traditional sense, but it’s definitely my favorite entry on the list. If you’re up anyway, why not listen to a modern fairytale of an extraordinary woman around the world.
